Recognising the next generation of talent at LUR
During National Apprenticeship Week (9th - 15th February 2026) , we were proud to shine a spotlight on our next generation of talent. Apprentices from across the Bogie Service Facility, Machine Shop, Maintenance, Gearbox Service Facility, and Supply Chain teams shared their stories and experiences of life at LUR, showcasing the passion and dedication they bring to our business.
Working in the rail industry is demanding – it requires precision, resilience, and a strong work ethic. Our apprentices demonstrate these qualities daily. Their willingness to learn, adapt, and grow in such a challenging environment is truly commendable, and reflects the professionalism that supports our continued success.
As a small gesture of appreciation for their hard work, each apprentice received a bar of Cadbury’s chocolate and a personal letter from Phil Chilton, our Managing Director.
A huge thank you to all our apprentices for their ongoing commitment. You are not only building your own careers but also contributing to the strength, capability, and reputation of LUR within the rail sector. We’re proud to have you as part of the team.
